With modern styling, a comfortable ride, and top safety ratings, the 2024 Toyota Highlander continues to be a favorite among mid-size SUV shoppers. Its 5 trims let you choose your tech features, seating configuration, and luxury amenities, so your Highlander feels custom-made for your family.

1. LE

The LE is capable and comfortable, with seating for 8 and a 265-horsepower 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that can tow up to 5,000 lbs. It’s available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and averages up to an EPA-estimated 25 MPG combined. Inside, its three-zone automatic climate control delivers custom comfort to the driver, front passenger, and rear passengers. The LE is also equipped with LED headlights and taillights, a power liftgate, and 18-inch alloy wheels.

LE vehicle settings and a 6-speaker audio system are controlled using an 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia display, which also displays your phone’s apps using wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. LE driver assistance features include Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist to prevent unintentional lane departures and a Pre-Collision System to help drivers avoid a forward collision.

2. XLE

Step up to the XLE for a premium cabin with SofTex-trimmed seats, heated front seats, second-row sunshades, and a power moonroof. This model comes with second-row captain’s chairs and a 7-passenger seating capacity, but you can also opt for a second-row bench and 8-passenger capacity. Outside, the XLE has 18-inch machined-finish alloy wheels, roof rails, and a hands-free power liftgate that opens with a kick under the rear bumper.

3. XSE

The 7-passenger XSE comes with a sport-tuned suspension, twin-tip exhaust, and sporty styling with a black mesh front grille and 20-inch black alloy wheels. The available Dynamic Torque Vectoring All-Wheel Drive can distribute power separately to the left and right rear wheels, providing power exactly where it’s needed.

4. Limited

The Limited includes XLE equipment and adds luxury features like leather-trimmed seats, an 11-speaker JBL Premium Audio system, and 20-inch chrome-finished wheels. Its Toyota Audio Multimedia display is a larger 12.3 inches, and Cloud Navigation is included for 1 year with a trial subscription to Drive Connect. The Limited also has Front and Rear Parking Assist with Automatic Braking to help you detect and avoid nearby objects while parking.

5. Platinum

When you choose the Platinum, you’ll enjoy luxury features like a panoramic glass roof, heated second-row seats, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. Available only with second-row captain’s chairs, the Platinum also includes several driver assistance features, like an Adaptive Front-Lighting System, which turns your headlights in the direction you’re heading to help you see around curves.
